Gripping Pads

Polyureathane high traction non-scuffing, non-scarring with a working load limit
of 5,000 Ibs. Can be used with a finished precast concrete surface, smooth or
rough cut stone. Standard for 3,000 and 3,000-B Curbing liftalls.

Tool Steel - hardened, meat hammer profiled working surface which
bites concrete. Wear life depends on use with with up to 5,000 lift-
ing cycles as recommended maximum life. Slight surface imprints
left. The biting provides up to 35% more holding power than friction
alone. Biting power is from 3 to 9 times load weight.

Tungsten Carbide - extremely hard, point array working face which
bites concrete. Provides maximum life for severe use. Slight surface
scarring, maximum holding grip, indifferent to painted surfaces, and
fastened cycle times.

Jaw Sets
Basic unit can be changed to handle different barrier profiles. The
change can be made in about 20 minutes. For example, an 8500-B/6
could be converted to an 8500-B/8. The jaw set includes 4 jaw
pieces and related linkage. Conversion Package: Upgrade original
8500 8500-B with about 40 minutes work.
